AKIE STARBOY AND HYPERS KIDS AFRICA Before Akie Starboy joining HYPERS KIDS AFRICA her was learning music in various brass bands, these included Rainbow house of Hope Uganda, M-lisada Brass Banda and St.Peter’s Brass band! We was mainly doing acrobatics, learning base drum and trumpet. At the age of 10years he was among the best students of acrobatics and gymnastics. But after joining Hypers kids Africa, hypers was mainly doing Afro and creative dance. He advised to add in acrobatics and gymnastics which he had learnt before from the music schools we went in! Note: It is recorded that Hypers Kids Africa is the first African dance group to bring Acro-dance style (doing acrobatics together with dance) Below is Hypers Kids Africa performance at Ballet Beyond Boaders festival 2021 God has blessed the group for almost 10 years. AKIE STARBOY LIFESTYLE I know a lot of people have been wondering what’s been going on with me over the past few years. Is he living up to his words or is he still living that Ghetto Life? Well, I’d have to say both. Since the documentaries and the book came out, I have attended three different colleges, searching for the one that fits me best. I’m not living a Ghetto Life but I’m still living in the ghetto (when I’m not at school), which doesn’t bother me at all, even though there are rats and roaches still crawl the wall. My coach has been doing the same. Some people might think, “Oh he’s a terrible coach,” but a coach who loves his kids as much as mine does is the best coach you can have. My teammates are still doing great, even thought life is still hard.
